Scope Of HEMS in India
HEMS aims to bring highly specialized medical crews to major incident sites for triage, treatment and transport. Many a time incident sites are either difficult or simply not accessible, during these scenarios HEMS becomes the only mode of transportation of both personnel and patients.
With the importance of the ‘Golden hour’, and due to the numerous Transport and Medical infrastructure deficiencies in India helicopters have emerged as the best and only option to stabilize and transport accident, disaster hit and critically ill patients.
The Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) recognizes this as an important branch of medicine for the future, and is creating regulations to encourage its use.

Dr. Shalini Nalwad graduated from Mysore University and obtained her Fellowship in Anaesthesia from the College of Anaesthetist, Ireland. She also has a Membership from the Royal College of Anaesthetist,K. She secured the prestigious medical training programme of The Northern Ireland, Deanery.
Dr Rahul Singh Sardar

Dr. Rahul Singh Sardar graduated from Karnatak University and obtained his Fellowship in Anaesthesia from the College of Anaesthetist, Ireland and a Membership from the Royal College of Anaesthetist, UK. He began his career in and Accident & Emergency and Acute Medicine, which was followed by the Basic Anaesthetic training in London, South East Thames Deanery
